PBI® (Polybenzimidazole) is one of the highest heat-resistant organic fibers available. It has a high tensile strength and resists many chemicals for superior durability. The 45-ounce heavyweight PBI/Kevlar® blend protects up to 1500° F. of intermittent handling. The reversible Mitten can be worn on either hand. It has been sewn with Kevlar for extra toughness, a heavy metric felt lining and 14” length for wrist and forearm safety. 22-ounce Thermonol cuff and 2 aramid felt patches for added insulation. The 10” Overmitt has been designed to fit over the mitten style for additional wear and wear protection. 28-ounce glass cloth with inner palm patch and 2-ply inconel wire mesh over outer layer for extreme handling. Work applications include steel mills, aluminum extruding, and foundries. Sold by the pair.
